NEW YORK COMIC CON 2023 ADDS “GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY” CAST MEMBERS TO STAR-STUDDED GUEST LINEUP #NYCC
Will Poulter, Karen Gillan, Michael Rooker, Sean Gunn, and Pom Klementieff Set for Photo Ops, Autographing, and Panel on October 12-14
NORWALK, CT – June 15, 2023 – We are Groot! Today, ReedPop, the world’s leading producer of pop culture events, announced that Will Poulter and Pom Klementieff will join their previously announced Guardians of the Galaxy castmates Karen Gillan, Michael Rooker, and Sean Gunn at this year’s New York Comic Con (NYCC), adding to the convention’s growing roster of major guest talent. New York Comic Con is taking place at the Javits Center in New York City on October 12-15, 2023.
Will Poulter, Karen Gillan, Michael Rooker, Sean Gunn, and Pom Klementieff will be attending NYCC 2023 to participate in Photo Ops and Autographs from Thursday, October 12 through Saturday, October 14. They will team up for a panel on the Main Stage on Saturday, October 14. Photo Ops and Autographs for NYCC go on sale to the general public on July 14, and to VIPs and Superfans on July 12. Fans who are unable to attend NYCC can participate in send-in autograph opportunities through ReedPop’s exclusive autograph partner, SWAU (NYCC).
Each year, NYCC brings together the biggest names in pop culture, the world’s top comic creators, and thousands of fans to celebrate the fandoms they love. Guest announcements have already started to roll out, with recent announcements including Marvel star Chris Evans (Avengers: Endgame, Captain America) and Star Wars’ Jedi Master Ewan McGregor(Obi-Wan Kenobi); Doctor Who stars Jodie Whittaker and David Tennant; Tim Curry (IT, Rocky Horror Picture Show); master of horror John Carpenter; Shameik Moore, the voice of Miles Morales (Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Dope); cast members from fan-favorite films and TV series Our Flag Means Death and The Mandalorian; voice actors from Jujutsu Kaisen, Animaniacs, and Chainsaw Man; All Elite Wrestling wrestlers FTR, Sting, and Jamie Hayter; and comic and literary legends including Rachel Smythe, Chris Claremont, Jeff Smith, Rick Remender, Jorge Jiménez, Greg Capullo, Scott Snyder, Tom Taylor, and Cassandra Clare.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public for New York Comic Con 2023 on Wednesday, June 21. Fan Verification is now open. To participate in the General Onsale, you must create your Fan Verification profile by Sunday, June 18 at 11:59 PM ET. Fans who purchase a Popverse Fan or Superfan Membership will also have digital access to NYCC and Popverse.com will be the #1 destination for NYCC coverage all weekend long.

Daniel Pickett
AFi founder and Editor-In-Chief Daniel “Julius Marx” Pickett has been around toys his whole life. The first line he ever collected was Mego’s World’s Greatest Super Heroes line back in the 70s. He has been surrounded by collectables ever since.
In 1999 he was confounded by a lack of information and news about some of his favorite toy lines he was collecting. Since he couldn’t find the information he decided to pursue it himself thinking other people might also be interested in the same news. He started writing a weekly column on the toy industry and action figure for a toy news site and in a years time he tripled the sites daily traffic with his updates, reviews and product features.
He built relationships with every major toy manufacturer and many sculptors, painters and mold makers. He grew his hobby into a world wide expertise that the industry has embraced.
In 2004 he teamed up with his toy buddy Jason “ToyOtter” Geyer and they created their own website www.ActionFigureInsider.com.
Daniel has been quoted in both industry and mass media press outlets. Over the years Daniel and AFi have been sought out as experts in the field. Daniel was regularly featured on “Attack of the Show” on the G4 network as the primary contributor to their “Mint On Card” segment, and our front page has been linked to from USA Today’s
